The Ohio State University, Specialty Pharmacy Renovation

CC&E provided SD level cost estimating services for the renovation of approximately 27,207 square feet of interior space at the OSU Specialty Pharmacy. The project expands prescription fill and distribution capacity by four times, significantly increasing operational efficiency. Site improvements include a single drive-through lane with extended queuing, a dedicated loading zone for box truck deliveries, and improved pedestrian access.

The renovated layout reconfigures circulation for optimized workflow—from warehouse to pharmacy to shipping—with clearly defined zones for receiving, packaging, and administrative support. The redesign also accommodates office spaces for call center and administrative staff, along with break areas, lockers, and restrooms to support day-to-day operations.
